GULLFJELLET TO REDNINGSHYTTEN

Gullfjellet is the tallest mountain in the municipality of Bergen, and the only real alpine mountain near the city.  Visiting Gullfjellet will give you the real mountain experience, and there are two main trips that we recommend. This short trip to Redningshytten is recommended for medium trained people and is a 1 hour walk up to Redningshytten . 
Facts:  8 km trip.  300 m climb. Difficulty: Intermediate/easy

Cloths:  Wind proof jacket and pants. Cap to cover your ear for cold wind.
Backpack:  Bring a small packpack with minimum 0.5 L of water/soft drink, some sandviches and something sweet (chocolate/ bun).
Price: 1500 NOK/person which include the guided tour and transportation from and to Arna railway station. Group discount for groups of 3 or more.
The guide have the right to reject participants that he find not suited for the trip.  This is for their own safety.

GULLFJELLET TO THE TOP

This is a trip to the majestic Gullfjellstoppen (Gold mountain top).  This is the tallest mountain in all of Bergens municipalities, and offers a one of a kind view from the top.  The trip is considered a hard hike, and only people in a good physical condition should participate.
The trip start by taking the train from Bergen railway station at 08:43 to Arna. Be at least 10 minutes ahead at the railway station to buy tickets (74 NOK for two way ticket adult. 50% off for children under the age 16). After the 8 minute train ride to Arna, our guide will meet you with a Hiking Bergen sign.
The guide will then take you for a 15 minutes car ride to Osevatn where the hiking trip will start.  We will then walk for an hour, before taking a break at Redningshytten.  After that we will continue the steep path to the top.  After approximately 2 hours of walking from Redningshytten, we will reach the top and will take a break at the top before we take the same route back again.  You will then be driven back to Arna Railway station and take the train back to the city center.
Duration:  Approximately from 08:43 to 17.00

Difficulty: Hard.  Most of the trip follows no real path, and there are some quite steep areas .
Fotwear: Hiking boots above the ankle.
Clothes:  Wind proof jacket and pants. Cap to cover your ear from cold winds. Rain gear if there are any chances of rain.

FJORD VIEW HIKE

This hike take you to fantastic views of the fjords and mountains at the east side of Bergen. This is probably one of the best hikes, and is a hidden gem outside the normal routes. The trip is quite steep and can be muddy, so good hiking shoes is recommended. Sunset hike in the evening here is a one of a kind experience. Duration: 4 hours in total. Price: 1500 NOK/person. RUNDEMANNEN FROM MT. FLØYEN

The hike starts at the top of the beautiful Mount Fløyen. From here the guide will take you up to Rundemannen. This hike is well suited for you who don't have the whole day avialable, since the duration of the hike is no longer than 3-4 hours, in addition to Mount Fløyen only being a 5 minute funicular ride away from the city centre. You will get to experience the view Fløyen is known for, as well as the one of a kind view and nature at Rundemannen.
Difficulty: Easy to intermediate

ARNANIPA ROUND TRIP

Walking across Arnanipa is a nice round trip that is possible to do within 3-4 hours.  This trip gives you a beautiful view of the fjords and mountains on the east side of Bergen.  This is a place visited by very few tourists, and is truly a hidden gem. It is suited for people with medium hiking experience, and for children  7 years and up. Price: 1200 NOK/person. Group discount for groups of 3 or more.

MT. ULRIKEN TO MOUNT FLØYEN

This hike is considered a “day hike”, and  takes approximately 4-7 hours. Our guide will pick you up outside the Tourist Information building at the fish market at 09:30.  We will then take the bus to Ulriken and take the cable car to the top of Mount Ulriken. We then walk across vidden towards Mount.Fløyen, and will have stunning view all the way. Price: 1500 NOK/person + cost for the cable car/Funicular. Group discount for groups of 3 or more.
